This morning on Community Conversations, Patrick Nyberg from the Charles City Middle School Robotics team joined us to share exciting updates on their recent projects and upcoming plans. He highlighted the team’s hard work and dedication, giving listeners a peek into their latest robotics endeavors. A key focus of the discussion was their upcoming flea market fundraiser, scheduled for this Sunday, April 13, 2025. Nyberg explained that the event is designed to raise funds to support the team’s activities, with all proceeds going toward equipment, competition fees, and other essentials. The flea market promises a variety of items for sale, offering something for everyone in the community.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
