After almost 18 years in the position, Trudy O’Donnell is set to retire as City Clerk for the City of Charles City.
O’Donnell gave an emotional farewell Monday (04.07) night during her final City Council meeting as City Clerk.
A public retirement reception will be held for O’Donnell from 4-to-6 pm Friday (04.11) at The Pub in Charles City, though Mayor Dean Andrews says O’Donnell won’t be officially done for another week.
Monday (04.07) night, the City Council approved the hiring of Brittney Lentz to succeed O’Donnell.
Lentz’ first day as Charles City City Clerk is slated for April 28th.
