Charles City Spring Cleanup 2025 Underway, Pickup Day is Wednesday (04.23)

Citywide Spring Cleanup 2025 is underway in Charles City.

Drop off of unwanted items at the Shaw Avenue Dump is open for Charles City residents from 7 am to 7 pm each weekday through this Friday (04.25) and from 9 am to 7 pm the final day this Saturday (04.27).

City Administrator Steve Diers says the dump site will be locked nightly during this year’s event.

In addition to the one truckload per household, Diers says, once again this year, they will accept dropoffs of four tires per household. And, if you or someone you know who lives in Charles City who can’t take items to the dump site themselves, the City will offer special pickup this Wednesday (04.23).

Diers says pickup signup is due at least 24 hours in advance by contacting City Hall no later than Tuesday (04.22) morning.
