COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FLOYD COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER:

The Charles City Community Center’s Judy Hauser shares exciting updates about the facility’s offerings. The center is a hub for community activities, available for rent at $100 for five hours, or just $10 for senior citizen members. It hosts affordable $5 meals (no prep or cleanup required) from 11 AM to 12:20 PM, with reservations at 641-228-3114. Programs like fraud and scam awareness sessions occur three times a week, and anyone can join without membership. A highlight is the upcoming Bingo Bash on Saturday May 3, starting at 6:30 PM, with free sandwiches, a $500 jackpot, and family-friendly fun. The center also supports card games, pool, and events like baby showers, making it a vibrant community space.
