...SIGNIFICANT BLOWING SNOW AND BLIZZARD CONDITIONS MAY OCCUR
TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING...

.Very strong winds will develop Tuesday evening with the
strong wind gusts persisting into Wednesday morning. Wind gusts over
50 mph are expected. Much of the area has 6 inches or more of snow
on the ground. While there may be an initial crust on the top layer
of the snow, it will erode quickly leading to significant blowing and
drifting of snow. Near white-out and blizzard conditions may occur.

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions possible. Light snow and snow showers
are possible. Winds gusts over 50 mph are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northeast, northwest,
and west central Iowa.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Whiteout conditions are
possible and may make travel treacherous and potentially nearly
impossible and life-threatening. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Wednesday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down
tree branches.

A Mass of Christian Burial for 83-year old Nancy Koenigsfeld, of Floyd, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 12th, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.

Visitation will be from 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday, May 11th, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home, Charles City, is in charge of local arrangements.

Nancy passed away Monday, May 5th, at her home with her loving husband and family by her side.
