Iowa DOT Seeks Public Input on North Iowa Bridge Projects

The Iowa DOT is seeking public input on a pair of North Iowa bridge replacement projects targeted for construction in 2027.

In Fayette County, the DOT has proposed bridge replacement on Iowa 187 over Brush Creek (Event # 6566).

Proposed improvements Include:

• Removing and replacing the existing bridge.
• Reconstruct approach pavement.
• Update guardrail to current standards.

The DOT is also proposing a bridge replacement on Iowa 3 over Beeds Creek in Franklin County (Event # 6586).

Proposed Improvements Include:

• Removing and replacing the existing bridge.
• Reconstruct approach pavement.
• Update guardrail to current standards.

Construction on both projects is expected to start in the spring of 2027 and end in the fall of 2027.
