Colwell Day 2025: A Full Day of Fun, Community, and Fireworks in Colwell

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FLOYD COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER:

fcmc

Get ready for Colwell Day 2025, happening tomorrow (Sat. June 14, 2025)! Jessi Wegner from the Colwell Betterment Organization shares the packed schedule, kicking off with a 5K at 8:30 AM, followed by a car show, parade, fire department lunch, petting zoo, live auction, barnyard bingo, and more. New this year: a water inflatable (bring swimsuits!) and an expanded fireworks display viewable from the park. With food trucks, live music from Lonesome Road, and a beer tent, there’s something for everyone. This annual event brings the community together, supports new playground equipment, and draws visitors to celebrate Colwell’s small-town charm.

Don’t miss the fun! Follow Colwell Betterment on Facebook for updates and check out the Colwell Day 2025 event page for auction previews and more.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. As a kid, he was always caught singing along to the radio — and while he’ll tell you he’s great at karaoke, let’s just say the audience’s ears often file a noise complaint. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
