Over Half-Dozen Area Operators Part of Choose Iowa Farm Store Crawl This Weekend

More than a half-dozen north Iowa Choose Iowa members were among the 70 operators from across the state to welcome guests this Saturday (06.21) and Sunday (06.22) for the first ever Choose Iowa Farm Store Crawl.
The weekend event offered Iowans and tourists an opportunity to explore diverse agricultural offerings, support local farmers and small businesses, and enjoy authentic agritourism experiences.
This past Tuesday (06.17), Iowa Ag Secretary Mike Naig visited one of the participants, Twisted River, in Mitchell, specializing in producing mixed greens, cucumbers and tomatoes among others.
And don’t sleep on Mitchell itself.
Other Choose Iowa Farm Store Crawl participants include The Market in Osage, Skyview Market near Nora Springs, JDZ Legacy Farms near Elma, Pinter’s Garden and Pumpkins near Decorah, plus Paha Cider Company and Engelbrecht Farms both near Waverly.
