Firecracker 5K Returns to Charles City – Celebrate July 4th on the Charley Western Trail

In this Community Conversations segment, Charles City Mayor Dean Andrews joins us to preview the annual Firecracker 5K happening the morning of July 4th on the Charley Western Recreational Trail. The Firecracker 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. on July 4th at the Charles City High School track, with registration opening at 6:30 a.m. Runners, walkers, and families are welcome! No pre-registration required—just show up and join the fun. Proceeds benefit the upkeep and improvement of the Charley Western Trail, and participants can win age-category awards, door prizes, and even a medal for best patriotic costume.
