New Charles City Mural to be Painted on YMCA

The latest “Town of Colors” mural is in the works in Charles City.

Graffiti artist, PHYBR, a Detroit native, is painting the “postcard” mural on the south side of the YMCA. He started work on Wednesday (07.09) and says it could take up to two weeks to complete.

While he takes his time, PHYBR says he’s also taking in Charles City.

Charles City Mayor Dean Andrews says YMCA officials were excited with news of adding the mural to its building.

A reception for PHYBR will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday (07.11) evening at the Charles City Arts Center.
