Theme for Floyd Co. Medical Center 2026 Community Fundraiser to be Announced Soon

In March, Floyd County Medical Center (FCMC) celebrated the hospital’s 60th anniversary in Charles City with its first-ever fundraising gala.

The black tie affair raised over $40,000 for future capital projects at FCMC with that success prompting officials to look towards future events. But it isn’t just about the money, according to FCMC Director of Marketing Mackenzie McNeill.

FCMC looked for public input to help craft the next festivities by conducting a survey listing various theme options, which included casino night, masquerade ball, and Kentucky Derby. There was also an “other” option to submit other ideas.

That survey closed July 15th and now McNeill says the “votes are in.”

In other hospital news, a Floyd County Medical Center Facebook post notes that, starting Monday (07.21) the patient portal will have a new “messages” function. Patients will now be able to communicate with all non-visiting specialists and providers in a streamlined, convenient format.

FCMC recommends that patients only use the messaging system for non-urgent questions or concerns. In the event of an urgent medical need, please call your provider or the clinic directly.
