Charles City officials will host a ribbon cutting and dedication Friday (07.25) for the new inclusive playground at Sportsmen’s Park.
Park-Rec Director Tyler Mitchell says ceremonies begin at 6 pm for the Donna White Memorial Playground.
Mitchell says that generosity, plus grants and fundraising made completion of the project possible.
Mitchell says the playground, accessible to kids of varying physical capabilities and/or disabilities, is complete, though some additions are yet to be installed.
Mitchell adds that other improvements to Sportsmen’s Park are also in the works, with some of that information being presented Friday night. There will also be speakers and refreshments.
