Mitchell County Fair Battles Weather Early, Clear Sailing Heading Towards Weekend

The Mitchell County Fair in Osage is underway, despite some early weather challenges.

That’s Nolan Peters with the Mitchell County Fair Board, who says the elements have cancelled Wednesday (07.30) night’s truck and tractor pull.

Peters says those who bought tickets online will get full refunds, while those with sponsorship tickets can redeem them at the grandstand box office for any of the grandstand events Thursday (07.31), Friday (08.01) or Saturday (08.02) night.

In lieu of the truck and tractor pull cancellation, there will be live music by Tony Williams in the beer garden from 7 to 10 pm Wednesday night.

Among the family features during the fair are free carnival rides starting at 2 pm on Wednesday and 3 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

There’s also a new “mom’s room” at the CRC Event Center.
