Two people were killed in a head-on collision in northeast Iowa over the weekend.
According to the crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, 44-year old Bobbi Jo Bauers of Delhi was driving her car southbound on Highway 38 around 6:15 pm Saturday (08.02) night when she crossed the centerline and struck a northbound pickup head-on.
Both Bauers and the truck’s driver, 33-year old Anthony Nile Mentzer of Monticello, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Delaware and Jones County Sheriff’s Offices assisted at the crash site, along with Hopkinton Fire & EMS, Koob’s Towing and Leonard Funeral Home.
