Northeast Iowa Woman Dies After Her UTV is Hit by Car

A northeast Iowa woman is dead after her UTV was hit by a car.
The Iowa State Patrol (ISP) says the two-vehicle collision occurred just after 1:30 pm Tuesday (08.12) in the 18000 block of R Avenue, about 12 miles southwest of West Union. A 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 18-year-old Kennadi Butikofer of Hawkeye and a 2017 Polaris Ranger driven by 71-year-old Rhonda Robinson, also of Hawkeye, were both heading south when the Malibu crashed into the rear of the Ranger.
The ISP says Robinson was ejected from the UTV and died as a result of injuries suffered in the wreck.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Hawkeye First Responders, Sumner Ambulance, and Tieskoetter Towing assisted at the scene.
This crash is under investigation.
