Gloria Jean (Sigler) Tolliver, daughter of Cliff and Viola (Jenkins) Sigler, was born on February 13, 1943, in Charles City, Iowa. She attended school in Floyd and Charles City.

Gloria married the love of her life, Norman Roy Tolliver, on June 15, 1962, and together they built a life centered on family, love, and hard work. They were blessed with three sons: Blake, Tim, and Todd, who were the pride and joy of her life.

Known for her selflessness and tireless devotion, Gloria always put the needs of her family first. She worked hard, both in and outside of the home. In addition to working on the family farm, Gloria was a dedicated employee at Fox River Mills in Osage, Iowa, Pamida in Charles City, Iowa, and retired from Solvay-Labs in Charles City after 10 years of service.

In her school years, Gloria enjoyed basketball and playing the harmonica. Throughout the years, she developed a love for knitting and crocheting, and often gifted her masterpieces which included blankets, wall hangings, sweaters, slippers, and dish towels. Receiving these gifts from her was always very special. Gloria could also be found in the kitchen, preparing big, hearty meals to ensure her loved ones and anyone visiting were well cared for. Her warmth, kindness, and ability to make everyone feel welcome, will be remembered by all who knew her.

Gloria had a deep love for dogs and an extraordinary way with them. Whether it was a beloved family pet or a stray in need of kindness, she had a gentle touch and a calming presence that animals seemed to trust instantly. Her home was a place where dogs were special members of the family.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 63 years, Norman, three sons: Blake of Charles City, Tim (Cindy) of Floyd, and Todd (Julie) of Badger, Iowa; 5 grandchildren: Ryan (Autumn) Tolliver, Cody Tolliver, Jared (Bethany) Tolliver, Grace Tolliver, and Evan Tolliver; three great grandchildren, Brayden, Audrina, and Brooklyn; brother, Bruce (Marilyn) Sigler; sister, Delores Roberts; and several special nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gerry Bray and Barbara Rapp, and her beloved dogs.
