It’s Homecoming Week in the Nashua-Plainfield School District.
Huskies’ homecoming queen candidates include Kami Hannemann, Eden Lamborn, Elayna O’Neill, Ava Kirk, and Jalissa White. King candidates are Devon Blanchard, Trent Rodruck, Jase Hansen, Eli Kalainoff, and Tyler Zimmer. Coronation ceremonies to crown the queen and king will be held at 7 pm Thursday (09.25) in the High School gymnasium.
The homecoming parade in Nashua begins at 2:45 pm Friday (09.26), with Nashua-Plainfield hosting Saint Ansgar for the homecoming football game to follow at 7 pm. Both teams are 4-0 and the game can be heard on 95.9 KCHA.
This year’s theme of “Now Showing” is reflected in the various homecoming dress up days. Movie Marathon Monday: wear pajamas or sweats. Cartoon Tuesday: dress up as your favorite movie character. You’re Watching Wednesday: show off your favorite Disney character. Throwback Thursday: rep old-school TV characters, classic movie icons, or retro cartoons from the 80s through 2020. Finale Friday: rep your school colors and spirit.
Huskies’ Homecoming Week festivities wrap with the homecoming dance Saturday (09.27) at the High School.
