Thursday Evening Events impact Downtown Areas of Charles City, New Hampton, West Union
Events Thursday (09.25) evening are impacting travel in the downtown areas of Charles City, New Hampton and West Union.
In Charles City, the third Annual Harvest Moon Festival has North Main Street closed off to motorists now until the event wraps up at 8 pm. North Main is closed off from the Clark Street to the Blunt Street, while cross traffic remains open at both intersections.
The Festival offers an evening of shopping, live music, vendors, food, and more. Various businesses have also partnered to offer shoppers a meal during Harvest Moon, right on Main Street.
Homecoming parades in New Hampton and West Union will also cause some detours in traffic patterns Thursday evening.
The New Hampton homecoming parade on Main Street starts at 6 pm, with no parking along Main Street from 5 to 7 pm.
The West Union Police Department says barricades will close off Vine Street from Pine Street to East Main Street starting at 5 pm, with the North Fayette Valley homecoming parade starting at 7 pm.
