It’s a battle of 4-and-0 Class A high school football teams when Nashua-Plainfield hosts second-ranked Saint Ansgar Friday night.
The Huskies and Saints have had similar seasons to date, each winning three games by blowouts. Total offensive yards are almost identical, with 1,445 for Nashua-Plainfield to 1,438 for Saint Ansgar, with each rushing for about 1,100 yards.
NP coach Chase Sudol would like the Huskies to parallel the Saints even more.
It’s also homecoming for Nashua-Plainfield, but Saint Ansgar Head Coach Drew Clevenger says the Saints are used to big game hype thanks to lots of playoff experience.
Sudol says the Huskies need to have the same mindset.
The two programs were both ranked in the top five when they met last year in Saint Ansgar, a 27-7 homecoming win for the Saints.
The Huskies look to reverse the outcome for their homecoming Friday night in Nashua.
