A northeast Iowa man is dead following an accident while he was mowing lawn this past weekend..
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) says 84-year-old Jacob Bricker of West Union was mowing a ditch on Juniper Road near 290th Street when he lost control of his John Deere zero-turn mower shortly before 3 :30 pm Sunday (10.05) afternoon. The lawn mower then went off an embankment.
Bricker was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
FCSO was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Iowa DNR, Ossian Fire Department, Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance, Gundersen Air, and Lacrosse County Medical Examiner.
