The New Hampton Police Department is hosting it’s second “Faith in Blue” picnic this Sunday (10.12).
Police Chief Conrad Rosendahl says the faith-based gathering is part of the NHPD’s approach to “community policing.”
The picnic menu includes tacos, hot dogs, brats, chips, and water, with proceeds going to the New Hampton Parks & Recreation Department.
There will also be popcorn, cotton candy, bouncy houses and live music from noon to 2 pm Sunday in New Hampton’s Mikkelson Park. In the event of inclement weather, festivities will move inside to the New Hampton High School lunch room.
Mayor Steve Geerts says he appreciates Rosendahl’s outreach efforts to improve community relations.
