North Butler School Officials Host Open House/Info Session on Upcoming VPPEL Vote

North Butler school officials host the first of two informational sessions Monday (10.13) night on a Voter-Approved PPEL (VPPEL) levy ballot measure.

That’s first-year North Butler Superintendent Brian Boysen, who says the school district is feeling the pinch of not having a PPEL for the first time in over a decade.

Boysen says the PPEL serves a vital financial role for the district.

Boysen encourages voters in the school district to be informed on the Voter-Approved PPEL, which would allow the district to tax up to $1.34 per thousand dollars of assessed valuation, for 10 years. Passage requires a simple majority YES vote on November 4th.

An information session is scheduled from 5 to 6 pm Monday (10.13) in the Media Center at North Butler Junior/High School in Greene, with another session slated for Wednesday, October 22nd, at the Media Center at the Elementary School in Allison.
