Requests to Have Absentee Ballot Mailed to You Due Monday (10.20)

City and school board election day is two weeks from Tuesday (10.21).
Early voting opened last Wednesday (10.15), with absentee in-person voting at your county auditor’s office during business hours continuing through November 3rd.
If you’re requesting an absentee ballot to be mailed to you, the deadline to submit your request is 5 pm Monday (10.20). Gina Fangman, deputy of elections for the Chickasaw County Auditor’s Office, notes that postmarks do not count if your request is received after that.
Once you have your absentee ballot, they must be submitted to your county auditor’s office by 8 pm election day (11.04).
For in-person absentee voting, check with your county auditor’s office for any special extended office hours for early voting.
All voting on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4th, will be at your assigned precinct location, with polls open from 7 am to 8 pm.
