Thursday (10.30) Final Day for Satellite Voting in Charles City

Voters in Floyd County have one final opportunity Thursday (10.30) to utilize satellite voting at three Charles City schools.

Satellite voting is available from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Washington and Lincoln elementaries and the Middle School. Charles City School officials remind voters that voting is NOT limited to the $30 million bond referendum to renovate and upgrade the High School.

Voters can also cast ballots on School Board elections as well as City elections.

Tuesday (10.28) was the first of the two days satellite voting was made available. During their Board meeting Tuesday morning, Floyd County Supervisor Boyd Campbell noted the historic significance of satellite voting.

In Floyd County and all counties, early voting via an absentee in-person ballot at your county auditor’s office, during business hours, continues through Monday (11.03).

If you requested an absentee ballot to be mailed to you, those ballots must be submitted/returned to your county auditor’s office by 8 pm Election Day next Tuesday (11.04). If the ballot is received after Tuesday, it will not count.

All voting on Election Day will be at your assigned precinct location, with polls open from 7 am to 8 pm.

*In addition to satellite voting in Charles City, the community is invited to tour Charles City High School Thursday during conferences to learn more about the facility needs that would be addressed if the bond passes. Tours are offered every half hour from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
