Trinity United Methodist Church Hosting Turkey Drive-Thru Dinner and Holiday Events

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FLOYD COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER:

Pastor Don Preston joined us to share what’s ahead at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City, including this Sunday’s Turkey Drive-Thru Dinner featuring turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberries, a dinner roll, and homemade pie — pumpkin, pecan, or apple. The annual tradition starts at 11:15 a.m. and runs until the meals are gone, all for a free-will offering.

He also highlighted the church’s upcoming Christmas Extravaganza on December 13, an evening event with music, dessert, and table reservations available through church members. Trinity has a full month of community-focused activity heading into the holidays, and Pastor Preston promises the same warm, welcoming atmosphere the congregation is known for.

For meal details, holiday event information, or to reserve a table for the Christmas Extravaganza, visit Trinity United Methodist Church’s Facebook page or contact the church office.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. As a kid, he was always caught singing along to the radio — and while he’ll tell you he’s great at karaoke, let’s just say the audience’s ears often file a noise complaint. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
