Chair Change for Floyd County Board of Supervisors, Status Quo in Chickasaw County 

Leadership of the Floyd County Board of Supervisors has changed hands for 2026 while the Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors will keep the status quo.

During their organizational meeting Friday (01.02), Floyd County Supervisors unanimously approved Gloria Carr by a 3-0 vote to take over as Board chair, which was held by Supervisor Boyd Campbell in 2025. Supervisor Frank Rottinghaus was elected vice-chair on a 2-1 vote, with Campbell the lone dissenting vote.

Floyd County Supervisors also approved keeping their regular Board meeting time at 9 am on Tuesdays.

In Chickasaw County Friday (01.02), Supervisor Jacob Hackman was re-elected as Board chair for 2026 on a unanimous 5-0 vote. Supervisor Scott Cerwinske will serve a second year as vice-chair after he received three of the five votes cast, with the other two votes split between supervisors Issac Carter and Steven Breitbach, with each one nominating and voting for the other.

Chickasaw County Supervisors also approved keeping their regular Board meeting time at 9 am on Mondays.
