January is Radon Awareness Month.
That’s Chickasaw County Public Health Administrator Lisa Welter, who says testing for radon in your home could help you prevent cancer.
Welter says Chickasaw County Public Health has a limited supply of radon testing kits available for $20 each and are available at their office in New Hampton.
They’re also taking kits “on the road” this month, including a stop at Bucky’s in Lawler this Friday (01.16) from 10 am to noon. Welter says they’ll also be offering free blood pressure testing.
