Caucus Night Monday (02.02) Across Iowa

It’s Caucus Night for the Democratic and Republican parties across Iowa Monday (02.02) night.

Chickasaw County Democratic Chair Amanda Glaser reminds those wishing to caucus that you must be registered with your party affiliation, whether Democrat or Republican.

Glaser says caucusing is the political process at its grass roots.

Young voters are also encouraged to be involved, which Glaser is open to anyone who will be 18-years-old by the November 3rd election date.

Glaser also notes that your voting precinct determines your caucus precinct. If you’re unsure, contact your county auditor’s office.

> 6:30pm Registration – 7pm Call to Order

> -Stapleton/Fredericksburg Precinct meets at the Sumner-Fredericksburg Middle School Library, 300 E Main St., Fredericksburg, IA

> -Bradford precinct meets at the Nashua-Plainfield Middle School, 621 Greeley St., Nashua, IA. Use the NW/West entrance.

> -All other precincts meet at the New Hampton Elementary School Cafeteria (North door), 206 W Main St., New Hampton, IA.
