The Foster Grandparents Program (FGP) of Charles City is looking for more grandpas to get involved, especially in Mason City.
Charles City Councilman Phil Knighten serves on the FGP Board and says they’re exploring various avenues to aid in recruitment efforts.
Knighten was speaking at a City Council meeting last week, when he also noted that the public can help with fundraising for FGP Monday (02.09) at Applebee’s in Mason City.
The FGP fundraising special at Applebee’s Monday runs from 11 am to 11 pm.
Foster Grandparents of Charles City coordinates the program in Floyd, Cerro Gordo, Mitchell and Chickasaw counties.
