Duane Wickman, 79, Waucoma

Duane Wickman of Waucoma, IA died peacefully Thursday, February 12, 2026, at his home surrounded by family.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton with Rev. Dan Christansen officiating. Abraham Schmitt, Henry Schmitt, Adam, Schmitt, Harrison Schmitt, Jonathan Baker, Russel Wickman, and Jesse Wickman will be serving as pallbearers.

Friends may greet the family from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Hugeback – Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in New Hampton. Visitation continues one hour prior to services at the church in New Hampton on Monday.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. As a kid, he was always caught singing along to the radio — and while he’ll tell you he’s great at karaoke, let’s just say the audience’s ears often file a noise complaint. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
