The Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) and the National Weather Service (NWS) have joined together to promote Severe Weather Awareness Week through this Friday (03.27).
Floyd County Emergency Management Agency Director Jason Webster says Thursday’s focus is on Hail and Wind Safety.
The overall theme for Severe Weather Awareness Week is ‘Are You Ready?,’ which Webster encourages should include signing up with Alert Iowa.
