Charles City Chamber of Hands Out Person of Year, Other Awards During Volunteer Recognition

The Charles City Chamber of Commerce held its Volunteer Recognition Awards Friday (04.24) at the Community Center.
All non-profit organizations and schools were invited to spotlight their top volunteers from this past year at the free event, co-organized by Main Street Charles City and the Chamber.
Among those honored were Person of the Year Tad Barry; Hometown Hero Jackie Moon; and Main Street Charles City Volunteers of the Year Tom and Julie Bock.
Also handed out were Caught in the Act awards, presented to people nominated for doing a good deed or unselfish act for others this past year.
Among the recipients: Quinn McCarty, Kim Watkins, Susan LeMaster, Jay Jung, and Xander Graeser, plus Julie and John Corbett.
