“Welcome to Medicare” Seminar Offered Next Week at Floyd County Medical Center

If you’re going to be eligible for Medicare in the near future.

If you’ve been on Medicare for a while and want to better understand what it offers.

If you have a family member you help with Medicare issues.

Take advantage of “Welcome to Medicare,” a free two-hour seminar offered by the Floyd County Medical Center SHIIP counselors. The informative session will be held Thursday, May 21st from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the Veteran’s Room at FCMC in Charles City. 

Pre-registration is encouraged by May 18th by calling 641-257-5505.

Joan Lore, FCMC SHIIP volunteer counselor, says. “Medicare is such an important program and understanding what it offers helps assure that anyone eligible gets the health benefits they deserve.”

“Welcome to Medicare” will cover Medicare Part A and Part B benefits, the prescription drug benefit (Part D), Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare supplement insurance. For more info or questions call 641-257-5505).

SHIIP, the Senior Health Insurance Information Program, is a service of the State of Iowa. SHIIP services are free, confidential, and unbiased. SHIIP counselors are trained by the state and do not sell or promote any insurance companies, policies or agents.
