Absentee Voting Open for June Primary, Monday (05.18) Deadline to Request Ballot Mailed to You

Wednesday (05.13) marked the first day of in-person absentee voting in advance of the June 2nd Primaries.
The Floyd County Auditor’s Office reminds voters that absentee voting continues through Monday, June 1st, during regular hours Monday–Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Note that the office will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th, but the auditor’s office will be open special hours on Saturday, May 30th from 8 AM to 4 PM.
For voters seeking to have an absentee ballot mailed to them, those requests must be received by 5 pm this Monday (05.18). Ballot requests postmarked after May 18th will not be accepted.
Sample ballots are available on the wall outside of the Auditor’s Office in the Floyd County Courthouse in Charles City and on the Floyd County website.

Polls will be open for in-person voting only at your assigned polling location on election day from 7 am to 8 pm on Tuesday, June 2nd.
