In-Person Absentee Voting Available Saturday (05.30) in Floyd, Chickasaw County

The Floyd County Auditor’s Office will offer extended, in-person absentee voting hours this weekend to better serve the community ahead of the Primary Election next week.

The auditor’s office, in the Floyd County Courthouse in Charles City, will be open this Saturday (05.30) from 8 AM to 4 PM. This is a great opportunity for voters who may not be able to make it during regular business hours, which are 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. 

The Chickasaw County Auditor’s Office in New Hampton is also offering extended early-voting hours, with walk-ins welcome until 5 PM on Friday (05.29), and from 7 AM to 3 PM on Saturday. In-person absentee voting ends at 4:30 PM Monday (06.01). 

All other absentee ballots must be received in your County auditor’s office by 8 PM Tuesday (06.02). Ballots received after that will not be counted.

County Auditor Morrigan Montagne and Chickasaw County Deputy of Elections Gina Fangman encourage all eligible voters to take advantage of this additional time to cast their ballot early, with Montagne noting, ”Make your plan to vote—your voice matters!”

Voting for the June Primary on Tuesday (06.02) can only be done in-person at your assigned polling precinct, with polls open election day from 7 AM to 8 PM.
