June 2026 Charles City Mobile Food Pantry Wednesday (06.03) at Floyd Co. Fairgrounds 

It’s the first Wednesday (06.03) of June, which means the Charles City Mobile Food Pantry returns to the Floyd County Fairgrounds.

Organizer Jen Burton reminds food recipients that line up for drive-thru distribution starts at 3:30 PM, with food handed out from 5 to 6 pm. She says they’ll start earlier if volunteers are ready and they can always use more volunteers.

With food supplied by the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, the Charles City Mobile Food Pantry has been serving, on average, over 300 households per month.

Burton says first-time food recipients who fit the income guidelines can register for distribution in their vehicle while they wait in line. You’ll eventually receive a bar code that will be scanned for future pantries. Burton says that barcode can also be used at the Floyd County Food Pantry in downtown Charles City.

Food recipients should also note that you will need to fill out new eligibility forms for the service starting July 1st, with that registration good until June 30, 2027.
