US 63 Bridge Deck Replacement over Wapsipinicon North of New Hampton Begins Monday (06.15) 

Work is expected to begin Monday (06.15) on a bridge project north of New Hampton.

Iowa DOT’s New Hampton construction office says crews will commence work on the U.S. Highway 63 bridge over the East Fork of the Wapsipinicon River. The bridge is located 2.1 miles north of New Hampton and U.S. Highway 18.

The DOT’s Pete Hjelmstad says the bridge deck will be completed in two stages. 

Drivers should also expect a 10-foot lane-width limit in the work zone. 

This project will be completed in late October, weather permitting.
