Registration Still Open for CC Independence Day Parade

Entries are still being accepted for the 2026 Independence Day Parade in Charles City. 

Organized by the Charles City Chamber of Commerce, the parade begins at 10:30 AM this Saturday (07.04) with lineup between 8 and 10 AM.

Entry fee is $10 for non-profit organizations, $15 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members. Entries include space for two vehicles or a vehicle and a trailer. Additional vehicles are $5 each and must be registered by Wednesday (07.01) so spacing accommodations can be made.

Registration forms are available at the Chamber office at 401 North Main Street or at the parade check-in station Saturday morning. Fees for day-of registration will be due at time of check in. 

Parade entries can access the lineup area by taking either North Grand Avenue or E Street to 15th Avenue, then turn right and go up to Cleveland Avenue where they can check in with a Chamber representative. Citizens should note that 13th Avenue will be closed to thru traffic on Saturday from 8 AM to about 12:30 PM.

The parade route will be on North Main Street to Clark, over to North Jackson Street, and back up to Lane.
