New Senior Enrichment Center to Serve North Iowans 55 and Older

The Salvation Army of Mason City will open a new Senior Enrichment Center starting next Monday (08.17).

Open to adults ages 55 and older, the center will be located inside the Salvation Army building at 747 Village Green Drive Southwest in Mason City.  Hours will be 10 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday.

The Salvation Army says activities will include exercise classes, Bible studies, craft groups, educational workshops, community service opportunities and special events. 

Auxiliary Capt. Kayley De Castro says, “We’re excited to bring this new opportunity to seniors in Mason City and around North Iowa. The Senior Enrichment Center will be a welcoming place of fellowship, fun, and community for anyone in the area who’s 55 or older.”

Membership fees are $5 per month or $50 per year, though the Salvation Army says no one will be turned away due to an inability to pay.
