Now Three Candidates to Vie for Floyd County District 2 Supervisor Seat

The race for the District 2 seat on the Floyd County Board of Supervisors is now up to three candidates.

In the June Primary, the only candidate who ran was on the Democratic ballot, with Josh Mack, also a Charles City School Board member, winning the party’s nomination. The seat is currently held by Frank Rottinghaus, also a Democrat, who was elected in a special election last September, but will not seek retaining the post.

One of the candidates who lost to Rottinghaus in the special election, Aaron Hobert, has filed to run as a non-party candidate.

Last week, Tyler Robbins was nominated during the Floyd County Republican nominating convention. Robbins is Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Charles City.
