Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign Informational Meetings in New Hampton Wednesday (Sep. 9)

For many years, New Hampton area residents have been a vital part of the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign through volunteer participation, encouragement, and support of those in need.

That’s Kris Markham who has served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Red Kettle Campaign for almost two decades.

Markham has also coordinated the Toys 4 Tots program in recent years.

However, Markham is retiring from those roles, thus, the Red Kettle program enters a new chapter with the formation of a Red Kettle Campaign Committee.

According to Jenny Monteith with MercyOne New Hampton, the committee looks to ensure the continued success and sustainability of the campaign by sharing responsibilities among several dedicated volunteers.

In support of that effort, there will be informational meetings on Wednesday (Sept 9) at the MercyOne Health Education Center. There are two options, with meetings at 9 AM or 4 PM.  If you cannot attend, but would like to learn more or express your interest, contact Monteith at 641-394-1626 or email MONTEITL@mercyhealth.com.
