Charles City Iowa DOT Maintenance Garage Hosts Snowplow Hiring Event Tuesday (Sept. 22)

There’s no snow in the short-term forecast, but the Iowa DOT is getting ready for another winter season and you could join them.

The DOT is partnering with the IowaWORKS mobile unit to offer Snowplow Operator Hiring Events at DOT maintenance garages across the state, including Charles City on Tuesday (Sept. 22). Pete Hjelmnstad with the DOT’s Mason City District office says those interested can stop in from 3 to 5:30 PM.

Hjelmstad says job seekers will be able to apply on site, ask questions about job responsibilities, schedules, and pay.

Snowplow equipment and vehicles will also be present on site.

There’s also a Snowplow Operator Hiring session from 3 to 5:30 PM October 1st at the Iowa DOT maintenance garage in Iowa Falls.
