Chickasaw County Conservation’s annual Halloween Hikes are coming up this Tuesday (10.13) night at Twin Ponds Nature Center, southeast of Ionia.
Naturalist Matt Crayne invites area kids to join in the non-scary nature walk.
Crayne says New Hampton eighth grade students will lead Halloween hikers around the nature center, with stops to learn more about the wildlife along the way.
Crayne adds that there is a limit of about 25 people per hike. So, reserve your hike time slot by calling 641-394-4714.
Halloween Hikes will depart next Tuesday evening at 6 pm, 6:15 pm, 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm, with refreshments available after each hike.
Kids are welcome to dress up in their costumes.
