Turkey Drop Begins: 10:00 AM
How to Participate
The KCHA Turkey Drop is open to adults 18 and older. Registration is limited to the first 100 eligible participants, with only one adult allowed to register per household.
To register, simply bring at least two non-perishable food items to donate to the Charles City Food Pantry. Canned goods are especially encouraged, and additional donations are always welcome!
Doors open at 9:00 AM, with the turkeys dropping at 10:00 AM.
Family members are welcome to join the fun and help retrieve a turkey, but only registered adults are eligible to win prizes.
Please Note: Participants must be at least 18 years old to register and win prizes. Alcohol-related prizes, including the prize from Tellurian Brewing, are restricted to participants 21 and older.
How Does the Turkey Drop Work?
At 10:00 AM, the excitement begins as numbered turkeys are dropped!
Registered participants retrieve their turkeys and keep track of their numbers for the prize drawings.
As prizes are awarded, a prize is randomly selected, followed by a numbered ball. If the number drawn matches the number on your turkey, you’re a winner!
Prizes include gift cards and merchandise donated by local businesses, with a $500 Hy-Vee gift card as this year’s grand prize!
Supporting the Charles City Food Pantry
The Turkey Drop is about more than winning prizes. It’s an opportunity to come together as a community and help local families during the holiday season.
All non-perishable food items collected during the event will be donated to the Charles City Food Pantry. Every can and every donation helps support neighbors in need.
Whether you’re participating in the Turkey Drop or simply want to contribute, your donations are appreciated!
