North Iowa Pursuit Ends with Suspect Dead
The suspect involved in a pursuit with law enforcement in north Iowa, who died after crashing his vehicle, has been identified.
The Iowa State Patrol says the chase in Winnebago County ended around 10 pm Wednesday (06.12) night at the intersection of Highway 69 and 212th Avenue, west of Lake Mills. Troopers say the driver of a 2005 Lincoln LS was actively fleeing law enforcement when the car failed to negotiate a curve, went into the ditch, and rolled.
61-year-old Jesse Chandler of Albert Lea, Minnesota, was ejected from the vehicle and died as a result of the wreck.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office and Lake Mills police, fire, and ambulance assisted at the scene.
