One Charles City Pool Closed Second Straight Day, Another to Close for Up to Six Weeks

While one Charles City swimming pool will be closed for one more day on Monday (07.13), another swimming pool could be closing for up to six weeks.

For the second straight day, the Lions Field Pool in Charles City will be closed due to maintenance work. The City says crews needed to partially drain the pool to complete the necessary maintenance in order to reopen.  The issue also closed the pool on Sunday (07.12).

It’s the second multi-day closure for the facility this summer due to repairs or maintenance. In early June, the pool was shut down for four days after a large piece of concrete broke away from the pool bed.
