Charles City FFA Students Talk Food Science and Second Annual Farm to Homecoming Kickoff

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FLOYD COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER:

Charles City FFA students Edward Byers, Eli Engelhardt and Breadyn Salinas join Community Conversations to talk about their involvement in FFA, what they’re learning through food science and the wide range of opportunities available through the organization. They also preview the second annual Farm to Homecoming Kickoff, featuring a locally sourced taco meal, music and an opportunity for students, families and community members to come together ahead of Charles City Homecoming.

The Farm to Homecoming Kickoff is Sunday, September 20, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Charles City Middle School. The meal is a free-will donation, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. For details and updates, visit the Charles City FFA Facebook page or check the district’s website at charlescityschools.org.
