Grilling for a Cause Thursday (sept. 17) to Benefit New Hampton Public Library Memorial Foundation

Chickasaw County Pork Producers and the New Hampton Public Library Memorial Foundation team up Thursday (Sept. 17) for Grilling for a Cause.

Samantha Schulz with the Pork Producers Association says the group sets aside money for grill outs to help raise funds for non-profit causes, but also salute those who work in agriculture.

Library Director Carrie Becker says the Memorial Foundation plays a vital role in supplementing the programs they can offer.

Serving for Grilling for a Cause Thursday is from 11 AM to 1 PM just south of the intersection with Main Street and South Chestnut Avenue.  Rain location is the library.

A $10 meal includes a pork sandwich, chips, cookie and water. A sandwich only is $7. Pre-orders are welcome to help plan for enough food.
