Charles City Fire Department Pancake Breakfast Sunday (Oct. 11)

The Charles City Fire Department will host its annual Pancake Breakfast this Sunday (10.11) to cap off Fire Prevention Week.

Fire Chief Sam Deverell says serving at the fire station is from 8 to 11 AM for a free will donation.

It’s also an opportunity to find out more about joining the CCFD as a volunteer firefighter, which Deverell says availabilities can vary, especially at this time of year.

Deverell says they provide the training for those wishing to become a firefighter. CCFD currently has a roster of 15 volunteers, but they’re always on the lookout for additions.

Deverell also confirms that Sparky will be there Sunday and kids can explore the fire trucks as well.

Details are available at Charles City Fire Rescue on Facebook.
