Community Session Wednesday (Oct. 14) for Sumner-Fredericksburg $16.3 Million Bond Referendum

Last November, a $16 million bond referendum failed to garner the super majority YES vote to pass in the Sumner-Fredericksburg School District.

In August, the School Board unanimously approved another $16 million GO bond referendum question that will appear on the ballot November 3rd. While the price tag is similar, Superintendent Ryan Cunningham says stakeholder feedback helped reshape their approach in hopes of voter approval this time around.

Still, there are some facility changes coming, if the bond passes.

Cunningham was in his first year as Sumner-Fred superintendent for last year’s bond vote, which he says was an opportunity for growth.

School officials will hold a bond referendum informational session Wednesday (Oct. 14) night at 6 PM in the High School gym in Sumner.

More details are also available on the school district website.
